Maximize sales in the Grocery and General Merchandise Departments through the implementation and maintenance of applicable sales/merchandising programs, effective ordering, shelf management, product availability and monitoring of Grocery/General Merchandise direct store deliveries. Control Grocery and General Merchandise Department labor through efficient grocery scheduling and the maintenance of prescribed standards and crew complements. Maintain clean, orderly, appealing and hazard-free Grocery and General Merchandise sales and storage areas by adhering to the Company's safety, sanitation and merchandising policies and procedures. Maintain a safe environment for all customers and Associates. Control Grocery and General Merchandising Department inventory and shrink by ensuring proper product handling (cutting and marking, rotation, coding, damage control, unsalable returns, etc.), product receiving and product ordering. Cultivate and maintain superior customer relations in the Grocery and General Merchandise Departments through polite and efficient handling of customer inquiries and complaints, attention to Associate appearance and behavior, and maintaining service level standards. Preserve harmonious Associate relations through active involvement in Grocery and General Merchandise Associate selections, orientation, training/development, performance appraisal, counseling, recognition programs service awards, etc. Minimize Grocery and General Merchandise expenses by ensuring the efficient and proper use of supplies, laundry and department-related equipment. Perform total store management responsibilities as required. Responsible for quality maintenance of the floor care program.

Education:
University/Graduate
Skills Required:
Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent industry experience.
Previous Retail Management experience in one or more of the following areas:Grocery, Customer Service, and/or General Merchandise.
