Basic Purpose: The primary purpose of this position: To assist and stand in for the specialist in times of absence

Tasks:

1. Survey store areas for apprehension of shoplifters 2. Detain suspects for questioning 3. Conduct interviews 4. Retain evidence for court 5. Complete all apprehension records and reports 6. Monitor front end and receiving functions 7. Assist Specialist in investigation process, Gather evidence, Interview following prescribed procedures 8. Assist in CCU process. Participate in audit process as directed 9. Conduct spot checks on associate purchases and parcels 10. Monitor employee purchase policy 11. Monitor compactor usage for adherence to policy 12. Check to see that CCTV systems are in working order and tapes are changed per schedule.
Additional Responsibilities 1. Help train new store detectives as directed 2. Report any safety hazards to store management 3. Respond to EAS activations and issues where appropriate

Education:

University/Graduate

Skills Required:

Security experience preferred. Criminal Justice studies / degree preferred
